WLC 400 - WLC Major Capstone WLC 300: Proseminar
For the class WLC 300 I had the opportunity learned about projects to future for example for next year I will working in Capstone project for me is a challenge project. Now I’m working in my e-portfolio, the professor Gus is help us to complete the project, another important when we had the orientation about the student that study in another country. Finally, something that enjoyed and was important for me, when we visited the field trip to MIIS, is very nice place for the students that want be interpreter in the future.
WLC 400 - WLC Major Capstone First of all, in the WLC 400 Senior Capstone class it was a very interesting class for the reason that I had to make the "capstone project" a very difficult task. At the beginning of the class, I and my teammate Martha Mendez had to sign a contract that we are committed to working on the capstone project. The first thing I did was read the stories in relation to the research about "Gender Violence" or “Violencia de Género.” My teammate and I worked with the Mexican authors Elena Garro and Elena Poniatowska in the stories: "El árbol,"" Los perros,""La banca" y "Coatlicue."" The Tree", "The Dogs", "The Bank", and "Coatlicue". After choosing the authors and the stories we began to look for secondary sources of the investigations that have been done in the aforementioned stories. I thought it would be easy to find secondary sources, because I had to ask for books from other universities or loans to start our literary review. For me the literary review was a bit more complicated for the reason that there was not enough material from the writer Elena Poniatowska. We asked for help from the library adviser and finally worked hard to finish the literary review. One of the things that I liked the most was the analysis of the stories because I like interpreting the writings and that I like about literature. Then also in the analysis, I liked finding the similes, tropes, characters, themes, rhetorical figures, symbols, open or closed endings and much more. Also, there was a presentation where the teachers evaluated the presentation of Capstone. Finally, the presentation of Capstone arrived and there was a presentation for the whole public. In the end, it is an unforgettable experience, that the procedure was not easy but in the end it is an experience that will help me as a reference.
